System C® air/water heat pumps for the high output range with natural refrigerant

System C® is suitable for solutions in all areas where high performance is required and is ideal for use in demanding environments to ensure high reliability and maximum efficiency. In addition to retail applications, apartment buildings, and commercial properties, building networks and neighborhoods can also be operated in a future-proof and highly efficient manner with System C® – both in new and existing buildings.

Intelligently networked and controllable, the system can be connected to the central building management system in all configurations and is compatible with all building management systems.

A System C® heat pump from Dimplex can supply up to 60 kW of building heating requirements. These comply with the Low Voltage Directive and are therefore intended for the simple heating of residential buildings, commercial or mixed-use properties, and smaller neighborhoods.

System C® is reversible and can be connected in parallel in up to 14 versions up to 500 kW.

The range is complemented by well-thought-out service offerings, intelligent control and the associated planning services, as well as customer-specific hydraulic solutions.

Low sound power level

Even at high heating outputs, System C impresses with its quiet, sound-optimized operation. The power-controlled components—compressor, circulation pumps, and EC fan—are optimally coordinated in terms of sound emissions and volume flows. The resulting naturally quiet air noise does not produce any tonal sounds, even at high outputs.

High-quality design and long-lasting quality

The compact outdoor unit is visually unobtrusive thanks to its flat design, which reduces its visibility when installed on a roof, for example. Durable materials such as powder-coated sheet steel cladding have been used, and plastic parts have been avoided wherever possible. The heat exchanger is made of weather-resistant aluminum and can withstand all environmental influences.

Natural air noise

The state-of-the-art EC axial fan was modeled on an owl's wing, with its contour and structure transferred to the fan blade. The result is a low-noise blade with 100 percent speed-controllable volume flows, which ensures flow-optimized air guidance and generates a naturally quiet air noise.

Natural refrigerant

System C contains the natural refrigerant R290. It has very good thermodynamic properties. Compared to conventional refrigerants, this results in higher efficiency and improved performance – ideal for high flow temperatures (up to 70°C), which are required, for example, for renovation projects with radiators.

Safety distances for elevated installation

System C® contains the natural refrigerant R290. Due to its flammable properties, Dimplex has developed a comprehensive safety concept. The result: no additional effort during installation and maximum safety for the system operator.

In outdoor areas, the safety requirements and distances must be strictly observed for successful commissioning.

The heat pump must be installed at least 80 cm away from the wall. For wall mounting and 40 cm elevation of the heat pump, the protection area is 1 m. There must be no openings (windows, doors, ventilation outlets, etc.) or ignition sources (sockets, light switches, lamps, etc.) in this area. Building penetrations in this area must be airtight. The protection area must not extend to neighboring properties or public traffic areas.

security concept

A new innovative concept was developed for System C® in collaboration with experts. It consists of several stages and combines structural measures, electronic monitoring, and safe installation conditions.

Advantages for planners

Easy installation, reliable monitoring, flexible parallel connection

Simple planning and installation
A built-in safety concept allows installation without additional effort or modifications to the building, making it particularly flexible for use in any building.
Secure monitoring
Can be connected to higher-level building management systems as standard via LAN and operated using the Dimplex Home App/Premium
Flexible parallel connection
Particularly powerful thanks to parallel connection of up to 14 devices and up to 500 kW of power, with low installation costs, as it is designed for expansion from the outset
Maximum flexibility
The master controller can be used to operate up to 14 heat pumps in parallel and provide heating outputs of up to 500 kW. The heat pumps can be controlled with adjustable priorities. The WPM Touch Master controls monovalent, monoenergetic, or bivalent systems with up to 29 output stages.

Advantages for the installer

Compact design:

High performance with a small footprint and low height; low center of gravity reduces wind resistance

The option of attaching crane eyes and the ability to drive pallet trucks or industrial trucks underneath facilitate installation; can be installed close to the ground on a foundation or steel structure

Mounting points for crane eyes are covered with caps after installation.

Option 1: Connecting the cables to the rear

This variant is suitable if the indoor unit is located at the same height as the outdoor unit in the house, e.g., in a utility room. System E is delivered ex works in this configuration.

Option 2: Connecting the cables to the front

This variant is suitable if the indoor unit is located lower than the outdoor unit in the house, e.g., in the basement.

Areas of application

Whether in large single-family homes, multi-family residential complexes, townhouses, office buildings, supermarkets, doctors' offices, workshops, shops, commercial halls, sports facilities and restaurants, craft businesses, logistics centers, schools, kindergartens, libraries, administrative buildings – System C® heat pumps can be used efficiently for heating, cooling, and hot water preparation in a wide range of areas.

Customized system solutions

Projects with higher power requirements need more customization. In this case, Dimplex also designs targeted, customer-specific systems with the right hydraulic components and the perfect system layout, including a control concept, such as variable concepts for integrating waste heat. The customized design of the system saves time and money during installation. In addition, planning reliability is higher and quality is improved through industrial manufacturing and testing.

Minimal Footprint. Maximum Performance.
