Political Discussion on the Heating Transition: Member of the Bundestag Emmi Zeulner Visits Glen Dimplex Germany

1 min read
On July 24, 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming Emmi Zeulner, a member of the Bundestag, to Glen Dimplex Germany in Kulmbach.

The visit centered on an in-depth dialogue about the future of energy supply—with a particular focus on the challenges and opportunities of the heating transition in the existing building stock.

The discussion highlighted the importance of technology-neutral solutions, such as hybrid heating systems that combine heat pumps with existing heating technologies. The relevance of a mandatory renewable energy quota was also addressed in this context.

Another key topic was the vision articulated by Ms. Zeulner for an “Upper Franconia Energy Region”: a region that becomes a pioneer of the energy transition through regional value creation, technological openness, and sustainable innovations. This objective aligns with our self-image as a company with strong regional roots and international technological expertise.

Kerstin Wolff, Managing Director of Glen Dimplex Germany, emphasized: “We see it as our responsibility to actively contribute to the energy transition—with innovative products, sustainable business practices, and regional cooperation. We stand ready to contribute our expertise and technologies to specific regional projects and, in this way, work together to further advance the Upper Franconia Energy Region.”

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Zeulner for the constructive exchange and look forward to continuing the dialogue on these forward-looking topics.
