Energy-efficient renovation
As part of a comprehensive energy-efficient renovation, Riedel Kooling – a sister company of Dimplex – has completely converted the heat supply for its production hall and adjacent office building in Kulmbach to a sustainable heating and cooling system. The aim was to replace the previous fossil fuel-based district heating supply with a sustainable solution using heat pump technology.
System C: The heat pump for large-scale applications
Two latest-generation air-to-water heat pumps – LA 2030CP and LA 4060CP – from the System C series, which are specially designed for use in large-scale projects, are used. The units use the natural refrigerant R290 (propane) and offer high efficiency combined with low operating costs.
The heat pumps are installed on a sturdy metal stand construction that can accommodate up to six units. This means that the system can be easily expanded as demand increases – ideal for industrial applications with growing energy requirements.

The heat pump solution with R290 meets the highest standards of environmental friendliness and energy efficiency. Thanks to the infinitely variable power control via inverter technology, the heat supply is precisely adjusted to actual demand – ideal for different areas of use such as production, offices and recreation rooms.
